Marine Wildlife most prevalent in Clayoquot Sound
Pacific Gray Whales - each spring, Pacific Gray Whales migrate from their wintering grounds of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula to feed in Tofino’s waters for the Spring, Summer & Fall.
Humpback Whales – This species of whales migrate to Tofino from Hawaii and Mexico. These enormous, majestic whales are fond of breaching and watching them shattering the surface of the water is a truly unforgettable sight.
West Coast Bigg's (Transient) Orcas (Killer Whales) – Bigg's killer whales are mammal hunters and are found patrolling along the coast and far out to sea to find their prey. The transient orcas are found in Tofino’s waters all year round and are a spectacle to witness in the wild.

Highlights
During this 2.5 to 3 hour whale watch, we look for humpback, grey and killer (orca) whales on the waters of Clayoquot Sound. On this diverse wildlife tour, passengers commonly spots seals, sea otters, sea lions and sometimes even wolves. These types of wildlife can be spotted at any time of day throughout February to November. Passengers can enjoy all of this wonder from the comfort of our covered vessels that also have outdoor seating and viewing platforms.
